Santander in the market for 6,000 new hires - report
Santander, the euro zone's biggest lender, said last month it plans to create 600 new jobs within the next twelve months. Citing people familiar with the recruitment plans, however, the newspaper said Santander is in the market for up to 6,000 jobs. This is in addition to the 5,000 employees it has inherited from Royal Bank of Scotland after its acquisition last month of 318 UK branches, the FT said. Santander was not immediately reachable for comment.
